SHAMANTRA
Saffire
Bouchelion
The work is based on
the fact that it has been scientifically proven that sounding (vocalizing) and
movement together is exponentially more healing than either by themselves. Play
is much more enjoyable and easier on the body than work. On this creative and
playful percussive journey we will focus on expanding your personal power through
the rhythmic connection you make with your body, mind, emotions, and spirit.
These concepts together with Nia, Yoga, floorplay, sounding, and exploring vocal/movement
expression that moves beyond the mind, are the roots of the SHAMANTRA experience.
It is deep sacred play for adults designed to help individuals remember the natural,
joyous rhythms of their heart and voice.
Saffire is a 3rd level
Nia instructor who has been practicing Nia for 13 years. Nia is a body-mind-emotion-spirit
fitness and lifestyle practice where we use expressive movement, the body's way,
to create wellness throughout the whole being. Saffire is also a professional
performer and musician who has been featured on over 37 CDs. Saffire co-founded
two experimental dance companies, and has performed with the Danell Hellander
Dance Company and Mergence Dance Theater. He was co-director of the Ecstatic
Choir for seven years, five at Naropa University, and has taught drumming and
vocal workshops throughout the U.S. and Mexico. Distilling his life experiences
and integrating his knowledge of the body, rhythm and voice.

the Sabotager:
The importance of Conscious Choices in your Everyday Life

Whether we realize
it or not the culture and lifestyle we've been raised with has ingrained us with
values and morals and feelings that can sometimes sabotage our interactions with
other people. But how do we become aware of these biases? In this workshop I
explain how important it is to make a fully conscious choice in your interactions
with people and events and what you can do to accomplish this goal. I explore
why we sabotage ourselves, and how we can focus our awareness on both our environment
and on what's happening internally so that we avoid sabotaging ourselves and
learn to recognize how to change the circumstances we are in.

Training
the Wild Dogma
Lupa
Lupa is a twenty-something
pagan and experimental magician living in the Pacific Northwest with her husband
and fellow author, Taylor Ellwood. She is the author of "Fang and Fur, Blood
and Bone: A Primal Guide to Animal Magic", "A Field Guide to Otherkin" and "Kink
Magic: Sex Magic Beyond Vanilla" (with Taylor, November 2007). She may be found

Every religion goes
through its growing pains, and the many religions under the "pagan" umbrella
are no exception. As we grow as a community and as individual religious paths,
one of the obstacles is that of dogma. We face the potential reality of cultural
stagnation, with ostracism of those who "just don't fit in," rigid standards
of acceptable beliefs, and all the other things that many pagans dislike about
organized religion. I'll discuss some ideas on how to stay flexible through our
years of growth, where potential problems are, and why the Devil is the cure
for dogma.

Your Magical
Mate
Taylor and
Lupa
Everyone's heard of
the dreaded love spell--a bright pink candle, a handful of rose petals (watch
those thorns!) and a picture of your would-be beloved. Of course, we know the
outcome of this unfortunate attempt at romance. Instead, how about some constructive
advice on both magical and mundane methods to find that special someone--or someones?
In this workshop we'll tell you about the magic we worked to find each other,
the mundane actions and thoughts that helped hone our search, and what's made
our relationship a success since then! Rather than trying that tired old compulsion
spell, give our techniques a try for yourself--find out about why it's important
to love yourself as well as your partner(s), and what you can do to keep a relationship
healthy both on the magical and mundane levels.

Powerful
Evocation and Spirit Communication
Tony Bubb
We go over the magickal
principals of evocation, construction of magickal tools, theories about magick,
and how to test your results. A sample evocation will be practiced for everyone's
visual amusement.
Mr. Bubb was found
wandering the frozen wilderness of Tibet, in the company of a large pack of Siberian
huskies. He was captured and catalogued then re-released into the wild suburban
jungle of southern Washington. His tutelage in the black arts came via the mysterious
correspondences of many books that he obtained from various large chain bookstores
and the direct advice of a Vaudeville Dirt Mackerel named C.W. Doddson, and per
the instruction of the Keebler elves. Armed with his delicious knowledge of confectionary
sorcery, Mr. Bubb served as the “Nuclear Y-Chromosome Mutant," “Freak," “Thuggish
Man-handler” and several other deformed monsters in a number of Roger Corman,
and early Wes craven films. Unfortunately, due to a rare problem with an epidural
photosynthetic transubstantiating mammalian cross-genetic change over, he has
been turned over to the Miskatonic University for further study. He is presented
to you all this weekend as part of an experiment in reintroduction into civilized
society, and will be monitored by several plainclothes hospital attendants and
orderlies, placed strategically around the perimeter to subdue and restrain him
should he repeat any of the shenanigans he pulled on the sets of the Exorcist,
Poltergeist or the Crow.

Music Therapy:
Group Improvisation
Jessica
Western
Using music as a healing
and transformative power is a technique accessible to anyone -- even those with
no technical music training! Anyone interested in learning more about music therapy,
improvisation, and toning and experiencing these first-hand is welcome. Feel
free to bring your own instruments, and for others there will be instruments
provided on a first-come, first-serve basis. Our purpose will be to collectively
improvise with intention in order to reveal what is energetically and therapeutically
possible through spontaneous harmonic music, instrument play, and vocal toning
in a group dynamic.
Jessica Western is
currently attending Marylhurst University, where she is studying Music Therapy
and Flute Performance. Jessica is a singer/songwriter/music teacher originally
from Maui, Hawaii, proficient on many instruments, some of which include piano,
guitar, silver flute, shakuhachi, ukulele, and hand drums. She has performed
solo and with various bands/ensembles for over 10 years. Her vision is to unlock
the power of music as a healing and expressive medium, through both her performance
and music therapy practice.

Building Community with Intimate Living
Angel True and Jas Davis
There is a whole spectrum
between and hand shake and sex - but how does this apply to my community? In
this workshop we will examine the concept of intimate living in the greater context
of touch-positive community connection using heart-consciousness, permission,
and boundaries. We will talk about the fundamental requirements of honesty, communication,
respect, compassion, and support and how they apply and work together to create
stronger and more intimate connection in community. Discussion will begin with
laying the foundation for the model and extend into the creation and integration
process of building this type of community. The workshop will include an opportunity
to practice some of the basic com-munication and support tools for initiating
and building intimate community. Participants will also begin designing and creating
their own list of needs, requirements, and first steps towards creating these
connections for themselves.
Angel has a passion
for communication and the study of human interaction. He took his first communication
class at the age of 11 and has been studying communication, human interaction,
